Hi there! I offer mentoring for the highly sensitive, empath, and highly attuned individual. I work with all levels of HSP to love themselves, their life, and embrace their experience in this world. I will support you as you set up your life in a way that works for you, move towards the life you really want, and fine tune your natural gifts.
Being highly sensitive or highly attuned is not our identity, it is a part of us that we can love and utilize.
Highly Sensitive People (HSP):
About 20 percent of humans and higher animals have a nervous system that is innately more sensitive to subtleties. This means that sensory information is processed and analyzed to a greater extent, which contributes to creativity, intuition, sensing implications, and attention to detail. This level of sensitivity may cause quick overstimulation and overwhelm. Sensitive people process sensory data much more intensely due to a biological difference in their nervous system.
• What is moderately arousing to most people is overwhelming to HSP's.
• HSP's often have decreased serotonin levels resulting from the repeated stress of over-arousal.
• Highly sensitive people have more reactive immune systems and more sensitive nervous systems.
• The sensitivity trait is just as likely among men as it is among women, and it is estimated that about 20 percent of the population has this trait. (Aron, 2004)
