Brainspotting Therapy is a powerful, somatic-focused method that identifies, processes, and releases core neurophysiological sources of emotional pain, body pain, shock, trauma, dissociation, and other challenging symptoms.
Brainspotting utilizes visual points to access limiting beliefs, trauma, and distress that have been stuffed down and stored in your body. Brainspotting allows your body to release what is causing pain or blocking your potential. It harnesses your body's natural self-scanning, self-healing ability to dismantle limiting beliefs and negative cognitions at the subconscious level.
Brainspotting accesses the subcortical part of your brain, allowing you to deeply process any topic of unresolved material, enabling your body to subtly reflex and release the held material.
With Brainspotting, you don't have to tell the details of your story unless you want to; we focus on where you feel the topic in your body and track the sensation.
Sessions lead to feelings of relief, changes in thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and new insights and shifts. Our intention is to create permanent neuroplastic change.

Brainspotting activates the body's innate ability to heal from trauma, remove limiting beliefs/blocks, or improve performance in any area. Brainspotting works because it gives you the formula, environment, and relationship necessary to heal. In brainspotting, we aim to dissipate emotional charges while strengthening resources and resilience to make a permanent neuroplastic change.
We start the session by discussing what you want to work on and ensuring you feel comfortable and supported. (You don't need to go into details if you don't want to.) I will hold the space for you by listening carefully and attuning. You can wear bilateral music to help you drop into your subcortical brain. I will help you find a Brainspotting eye position to work with as you mindfully connect to and track your body's sensations. Your internal sensations guide you as you observe what comes up and out. During this time, your brain will be doing deep subcortical processing. You will reflex, release, re-organize, reorient, and complete the integration of the topic.
