Brainspotting is a mind-body therapy developed by David Grand, PhD, in 2003. It focuses on identifying, processing, and repairing emotional stress, trauma, and other challenging symptoms. Brainspotting accesses deeply held experiences and emotions, which are then safely processed and desensitized, healing the underlying traumas that contribute to anxiety, depression, and other behavioral or physical conditions. This results in a rebalancing of the nervous system. Brainspotting combines focused mindfulness, relational attunement, and brain-based processing. It helps calm panic, fear, anger, grief, shame, and guilt. It can significantly expedite transformation and healing, helping you gain clarity, grow, and expand. It harnesses your body's natural self-healing ability to dismantle limiting beliefs and negative cognitions at the subconscious level. Best of all, you don't have to go into the distressing details of your history if you prefer not to. Sessions result in relief, changes in thoughts and behaviors, and new insight.
